Ladies Auxiliary Command Projects:

The donations for the following projects are from all of the Auxiliaries in Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

The Bursary Fund is a fund for bursaries given each year to students who have just completed grade 12 or have been out of school for a year.  The applications along with the Rules & Regulations are sent out to the auxiliaries for distribution. They may also apply through the Calgary office or on line.  The Command Officers review them at the end of August.  The total amount of funds awarded each year is determined by the donations received from the auxiliaries.

The Hospital Fund is a fund for hospitals and health care facilities in the province of Alberta and the Northwest Territories.  Each year, the District Commanders will approach a facility in their district and offer them a donation.  They are asked to purchase a piece or pieces of equipment/furniture which are not covered by Government Grants.  We do not donate to Foundations or partial amounts towards equipment unless approved by Full Council.

The Sports Fund is a fund for the District Commanders and Officers’ expenses when attending sporting events.  There are many members of the auxiliaries who participate and are pleased that a Council member is in attendance.
